A new version is online which adds a long requested feature:
Live Programmer Times!
You can find that in the "RATE" button below the FAN button on the right hand side of the console.
Available options are Global Rate, Global FX Rate, Selected Cuelist Rate from 1-1000% and Live Time (0-10s)
To reset the rates to default hold CLEAR and hit RATE.
Live Time works with commandline (@ Full), Presets, Direct Access (e.g. Color Picker). Using the belts still controls the fixture directly without added timing.
CLEAR and PREVIEW also use the Live Time so now its easy to sneak in a preset or a cue on the fly and get out of it smoothly.
The patch got some new commands to move an entire Universe to a different Universe# and to change the Universe of a single fixture without unpatching it first.
The MENU contains a file browser now including a details view.

the FTP still shows that you are downloading 1.8.271, is this correct to being showing this?

I verified and downloaded the 1.8.274.0 myself and it installed normally on a Maxxyz.
With which software did you downloaded the file Paul? |

there is same problem with software MAXXYZ-PC
I just download version 1.8.274..from FTP
The message error is (error reading setup initialization file)

I have not had good success with this PC Beta. Tells me that good showfiles are corrupt. Boots the first time after its installed, then says that every file I try to open is corrupt and gives a COM error with a long string of letters and numbers... The console works fine!
Rolled my PC back to 1.8.271 and it's fine now too. I tried 2 different downloads of the Beta.
Epilogue: PC 1.8.271 Now has the same result. Very frustrating.... |

I’m a hungarian lighting technician Mr. Gábor Majoros. My theater has a Maxxys control desk. I’m working on my own show with 3D visualiser software. Unfortunately I don’t find how and from where can I load trusses and fixtures for my show. Could you send me a short summary about this. Thank’s in advance for your kind help.

gaby, welcome to the forum, you can build your own stage, but you need the martin show designer first, the dongle key and the program.
after this you can save the .SCN file and download to your maxxyz and work with this.

I have got a MARTIN MAXXYZ SILVER EDITION lighting console. I downloaded the MSD Silver software but I can't install it. I don't know what is the dongle key mean. What is that and where can I obtain it? What have to do with that?
I had problem with the NETHASP licence manager. (error 15)
If You can help me, please write down it step by step, because the Hungarian Distributor can't help me.

Hi
The MSD GOLD and SILVER need a Hasp to be open and register
The software is to install in PC or Laptop, but not in MAXXYZ.
Only you esport *.scn create for the MSD GOld/Silver to MAXXYZ Visualitzer OFFLine by way USB pen-drive on front panel MAXXYZ

What is this so: -Step one: Que1- All moving light intensity full.
-Step too: Que2- This memory is empty, buth after all, moving light intensity full. what makes this do it??? The All parameters inactiv..
What is this so??? I don't understand.. :/

Hi Gaby,
Looking at your previous (Look Ahead) post, I assume you are used to the cue recording method of the Compulite Spark 4D..
The MAXXYZ is a 'tracking console'. Unlike Spark 4D which records all values for all fixtures, MAXXYZ records only the changed values. This means that even if you did not record the intensity in cue 2, it is still tracked from cue 1.. You need to set intensity to 0% in cue 2, in order to switch it off.
You can switch the Q List to be non-tracking (Compulite way) in the Q List options window (User Manual page 149). Take the time to read about 'Tracking' is this is a very different way of programming the console.
