Hi guys! I have another problem, I have a Chauvet hurricane 1800 flex, smoke/fog machine and I think I did everything I needed to control it from my computer but for some reason it is just not working.
I configurated it as a generic smoke machine, calculated the address (65), switched on the appropriate dipswitches(#1, #7), and it is just not responding.
Any ideas???
(maybe set it as on/off applience) I don't know! help!

Nevermind, its not...I downloaded the manual for you fog machine... Your Machine is a 1 Channel fogger... You need a Single Channel Profile... IIRC, the generic fog machine profile is a 2 channel fogger... To test this you can delete the "generic fogger" and use a Single Channel Generic dimmer...

IIRC the generic smoke machine profile is a single channel profile. Try turning dip switch #10 to on. Also, a lot of foggers take 5 - 10 minutes to warm up. Make sure you're giving it that much time.

Also, if you have a dimmer, try it set to the same address and see what happens.

Well.... Thats the problem.... ENTTEC USB WILL NOT WORK WITH LIGHTJOCKEY!!! You HAVE to buy a Martin USB Device!

I also have the Hurricane 1800 Flex. The Generic Smoke Machine profile is single channel as is the machine. No worky. I tried the 1 Channel DMX Switch Pack profile and the 1 Channel DMX Dimmer Pack profile with zero result.

The pinout info printed on the machine states 1 - Ground / 2 - Signal (-) / 3 - Signal (+)

There are only 9 dipswitches.

Is this Pin Swapped?

Thanks in Advance

Also, I switched back to the generic profile, pulled up the DMX output window, mashed the smoke button on the smoke control panel and no value was generated by lightjockey. I would hope that pressing the buttom on the smoke control panel would send a value of 255 down the wire.
